ITZY's Lia to extend hiatus during upcoming album release and world tour

In September this year, ITZY member Lia, feeling extremely nervous and anxious about her current schedule, sought consultation and underwent examinations. Following this, the hospital recommended that she needed to stabilize her condition and undergo treatment, consequently pausing her activities related to music program comebacks.
Recently, the hip-hop queen and rapper Jessi has been promoting her new song, and Girls' Generation's Tiffany had to halt her activities due to health reasons. With an increasing number of celebrities raising health concerns, fans are becoming more and more worried.
ITZY member Lia's health raises concerns as JYP Entertainment announced on the 17th that LIA has been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and is currently focusing on treatment. After thorough discussions among the members, they have decided to prioritize her health recovery. Therefore, she will not be participating in the upcoming new album production and the world tour.
Lia posted a handwritten letter on ITZY's official account, stating, "I want to directly convey a message to the worried MIDZYs (official fan name). After much consideration, I was ultimately unable to participate in the album production and world tour this time. I wish to focus on my health recovery first, so please don't worry about me." She then continued, "I'm doing well, and to repay the support MIDZYs have given me during this time, I will become healthy and return in a better shape."
Jessi, who made her comeback last month, did not participate in music shows due to being in poor condition. At that time, although Jessi took part in radio schedules, she did not participate in music promotional programs due to her poor state.
After signing an exclusive contract with their agency More Vision, Jessi and Park Jae-beom's new song release has garnered a lot of attention and high expectations. However, Jessi, due to being in poor condition, has asked for fans' understanding for not engaging in promotional activities for the music.
Girls' Generation member Tiffany is also taking a temporary break. On the 14th of this month, her management company stated: "Tiffany recently underwent a checkup due to feeling unwell. Based on the advice received from the medical team that she needs ample stability and rest, it has been indicated that her activities will be temporarily halted." Tiffany will resume her activities by hosting the "33rd Seoul Music Awards" in Bangkok, Thailand, on January 2nd.
