The girl group BLACKPINK, who just finished their tour, has not made clear the direction of the members' contract renewals. Recently, there have been reports that only ROSÉ has renewed her contract. Not only Lisa is considering changing her agency, but Jisoo and Jennie also have other future plans and may develop in other directions.

Recently, Jennie hinted at her latest project in an interview for the October issue of the fashion magazine 'Harpers Bazaar', revealing she would be releasing a solo album. When asked about the concept and type of her new album, Jennie said, "I am working on a song that closely resembles me, please look forward to it.", unwilling to reveal more.

After releasing "Solo" in 2018, Jennie hasn't released any solo albums, only publicly releasing the solo singles "SOLO" and "You & Me". Five years later, Jennie has publicly admitted that she is working on a solo album, making the fans super excited.

Previously, Jennie mentioned that her musical taste is hip hop and R&B, but the specific genre of her solo album has not been disclosed yet. The only thing certain is that the new album will perfectly showcase Jennie's individual style.

Moreover, BLACKPINK set the record for the largest world tour in K-POP girl group history with 'BORN PINK'. The tour, which began in October of last year, was held a total of 66 times in 34 cities over more than a year, attracting approximately 1.8 million spectators. Recently, BLACKPINK also performed at the Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome, the largest indoor performance venue in Korea, becoming the first K-POP girl group to perform there.

BLACKPINK debuted in 2016 and their contract is due to expire in August this year, thus whether the four members of BLACKPINK will renew their contract with their agency YG Entertainment has become a focal point.

Recently, there have been continuous reports about the members renewing or not renewing their contracts. On the 21st, it was rumoured that only ROSÉ had renewed her contract and other members would be signing with other companies, which caused a 13.28% drop in the stock price of YG Entertainment. However, YG Entertainment still insists, "It's not confirmed yet, we are still in negotiations."
