Boy band BTS has seen multiple members enlisting in the military last year, including J-Hope and Suga, who is set to enlist this month. As a result, the group is currently on hiatus, focusing primarily on individual activities. The managing company, HYBE, officially announced today (20th): "The board has completed the process of renewing contracts with all 7 members of BTS under BIGHIT MUSIC." This is the second time all members of BTS have renewed their contracts.

In fact, BTS, who debuted in 2013, had already renewed their contract with the company in 2018, before the contract expired. Now, as they mark their tenth anniversary, the group has successfully renewed their contracts for the second time, not only relieving the worries of their fans, but also reassuring those who have been eagerly waiting to see the group as a whole.

However, as there are currently members serving and about to enlist, the next reunion is expected to be after their discharge in 2025, and BTS will continue to operate as a seven-member group.

However, as soon as the news of the contract renewal came out, team leader RM personally announced the good news on his individual Instagram, even posting the completed contract on his story and tagging both BTS and ARMY (the fan's name), expressing the intention to continue moving forward together with the fans.

In addition, the company Big Hit Music, seizing the opportunity of BTS re-signing, decided to donate 1 billion Korean won to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Korean Committee, as a token of appreciation to BTS and their fanbase ARMY. This is seen as a highly meaningful gesture echoing BTS's Love Myself campaign back in 2017.

After the news broke that all members of BTS renewed their contracts and Big Hit Music donated 1 billion, it immediately sparked a lot of discussion. Comments such as "I'm so moved after reading this", "Wow, 1 billion!", "Of course they should donate, GOOD!", and "At this level, of course Big Hit should do it" were heard. However, some netizens also expressed, "Please also use some money to sue for the protection of the artists," "Donate money by all means, but please let the company do its job well", "I will continue to cheer for you, but please treat BTS well".
