At the end of the discussion, Kyoungyoon decided to leave DKZ and plans to enlist in the military this year.
The company also explained that "Kyoungyoon feels a great responsibility for the troubles he has caused for the members and fans," and Kyoungyoon conveyed his feelings by sending a handwritten letter.

Kyoungyoon further said, "Even for the sake of the remaining members, I don't want to regret my decision. I am truly grateful for all the fans who love and support DKZ's Lee Kyoungyoon."
DKZ's Kyoungyoon was revealed in March this year to be a follower of the JMS(Jesus Morning Star). At the time, Kyoungyoon had stated that he had left the cult saying, "Before many people brought up the issues of a certain group and before confirming the content aired on TV programs, I thought the church my parents went to was a normal typical church.
