BTS's Jungkook's first solo album breaks new records!

BTS's Jungkook, known within the group as "Golden Maknae", started his solo activities this year, releasing his first album "GOLDEN" after going SOLO.
The first album "Golden" sold 2,147,389 copies on the release day (3rd), breaking through 1 million copies in just 3 hours after release, and instantly exceeded 2 million copies in sales within 5 hours, easily achieving double million sales, and comfortably topping the daily music chart in Korea.
Especially for "Golden", Jungkook is the first K-pop solo artist to achieve double million sales on the release day, setting a new all-time record for the first-day sales, surpassing the previous record for the highest first-week sales of K-pop solo artist (2,101,974 copies) just on the release day itself.
As of 9 am on the 4th, "GOLDEN" ranked first on the iTunes album charts in 77 countries and regions including the UK, Germany, France, Canada, and Japan. The title song "Standing Next to You" and other 10 songs made it to the TOP 100 of the Melon real-time chart at 2 pm, three days after the release.
This album mainly documents his journey from being known as the "Golden Maknae" of BTS, gradually gaining prominence to become a globally recognized figure in his "Golden Time", showcasing various facets of Jungkook.
The title track "Standing Next to You" features a retro vibe, representing Jungkook's vibrant tone of voice, and the lyrics convey: "Because our love is deeper than anything, no matter what difficulties we encounter, we'll be by your side", expressing his love to the ARMYs again.
In addition, Jungkook will perform on the American NBC's "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on the 7th, and on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" city music series on the 8th. On the 16th, he will appear on Mnet's "M Countdown," and on the 20th, he will hold a fan showcase and other active promotions both domestically and abroad.
