Recent insiders of upcoming new works recently told Korean media OSEN, "To appear on a channel with nearly 3 million subscribers, at least 100 million won must be paid." In other words, it costs money to appear on YouTube online programs, which is completely different from the way in which artists used to get appearance fees and rewards for appearing on TV programs.
However, insiders also mentioned, "It's not unconditional that you can receive 100 million Korean won, there's still room for negotiation, so you won't actually receive such a high fee." They further revealed, "If the actor has a good relationship with the channel operator, they may even appear for free."
In addition, another film industry insider mentioned that the general price is usually between 30 million and 40 million Korean won, and said, "Currently, the highest actual received amount is around 60 million to 70 million Korean won. However, the price may vary greatly depending on the situation of the relevant channel and which actor is involved."
